Here’s a sample of a plugin I wrote a while back to display a WordPress Menu as a grid of hexagons. Go ahead and resize your screen, it’s responsive!

You can use different options to produce:
- A regular page/post link that shows title and thumbnail (default)
- A search box (client requested) using either thumbnail or hex value.
- Link to an image.
- Solid hexadecimal color
- Thumbnail without link
Since it works with the native WordPress menu system you retain the ease of use of just creating these menus as you normally would:
